Meet The Team
Senior Pastor
Steve McLachlan
Pastor Steve, with his wife Joan, have been at Trinity Bible Fellowship since moving here in June of 1988. They raised four children, and now have ten grandchildren. As pastor, Steve preaches regularly, works with the Elder Board to guide the church, teaches adult Sunday school, and works at Awana. Outside of church, Steve teaches a High School Bible class at Christian Heritage School in nearby Edwall, writes a regular column for the Davenport Times, and is Director/Treasurer at Care and Share, the local food and clothing bank.
Steve is the author of three self-published books: Confessions of a Recovered Youth Pastor (no longer available), Sons of Noah, and Giant Faith, the Story of Young David.
Joan teaches the Kindergarten – 2nd Grade Sunday School class, is a leader at Awana, is involved with women’s Bible studies, and is a volunteer at Care and Share. She also runs a Christian Pre-school in their home.
Youth Pastor
John Doyle
John, with his wife Jennifer, have recently taken the reins of youth ministry at TBF. They have three children, the oldest of whom is now out on his own. Two teen-age children are still at home. Though new to ‘official ministry,’ John has been actively teaching and serving in church for many years.
John served in the Navy for many years. On leaving the service, he worked as a survival instructor for both the Air Force and Navy. After seven years in the San Diego area, the family moved back to Davenport for the simpler lifestyle.
Jenn is John’s constant companion in ministry. She is always busy planning and researching, as well as taking care of the family.
The couple shares the desire that unsaved teens be reached with the Gospel, and that saved teens be trained to be faithful disciples.
